President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conducted a further series of meetings as part of the ‘Rayyithunge Adu’ initiative, a programme established to provide the broadest possible opportunity for citizens wishing to meet with him individually.
Featuring selected audio and visual excerpts from these engagements, the President’s Office today published the second episode of the ‘Rayyithunge Adu’ series across social media platforms. During the individual consultations, held at the President’s Office, the President engaged in detailed deliberations on the matters raised by the citizens. He explored available avenues of Government assistance to address their respective needs and endeavoured to facilitate practical solutions.
Under this nationwide initiative, which encompasses all 93 electoral constituencies of the Maldives, requests for an audience with the President may be submitted via a dedicated portal during the periods announced by the President’s Office. Accordingly, the inaugural opportunity was extended to the constituents of Hulhumalé North, Hulhudhoo, Hoarafushi, and Hulhumalé Central. In the second round, the opportunity was opened to citizens of the Maafannu South, Ungoofaaru, Kelaa, and Fuvahmulah South constituencies. For the third round of the series, the President’s Office has opened applications to the citizens of the Ihavandhoo, Naifaru, Fonadhoo, Meedhoo, Vilimalé, Machangolhi South, Maamigili, and Thinadhoo North constituencies.
Guided by a steadfast commitment to direct public consultation, the President formally announced on 25 June this year his intent to establish a programme affording citizens from individual constituencies the opportunity to meet and converse with him directly.
The procedural guidelines for participating in the ‘Rayyithunge Adu’ consultations are accessible on the website of the President’s Office.
