President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will confer the National Awards for Public Service and the President’s Award for Special Achievement at this year’s Republic Day ceremony scheduled for 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, 11 November, at the Social Centre.

The National Award for Public Service will be presented to 97 recipients in recognition of their dedicated service to the State, spanning 35 to 39 years. Recipients are selected by the Committee on National Awards following a rigorous evaluation process. Earlier this year, during the Independence Day ceremony, the same award was conferred upon 94 individuals for over 40 years of public service.

The President’s Award for Special Achievement will also be conferred during the ceremony. A total of 33 individuals, selected by the Special Achievement Awards Committee, will be honoured for exceptional accomplishments in their respective fields.
