President designates HA. Kandaalifinolhu as part of HA. Vashafaru

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has designated HA. Kandaalifinolhu as part of Vashafaru in North Thiladhunmathi Atoll.

The amendment was made pursuant to the authority accorded to the President under 134 (a) of the Decentralisation Act (Act No. 7/2010).

The designation follows a request to this effect by the residents of Vashafaru.

With this change formalised through a Presidential Decree, the Presidential Decree No. 2/2025, which specifies the inhabited islands of the Maldives, has now been amended and republished in the Government Gazette.
