President designates R. Un’gulu as part of R. Un’goofaaru

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has designated R. Un'gulu as part of R. Un’goofaaru, in accordance with his presidential pledge.

The amendment was made pursuant to the authority accorded to the President under Section 134(a) of the Decentralisation Act (Act No. 7/2010).

With this change formalised through a Presidential Decree, the list of inhabited islands in the Maldives, as specified in the schedule of Presidential Decree No. 2/2025, has been updated and republished in the Government Gazette.
