Esteemed scholars and Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Government of the Maldives, I express our gratitude for choosing our country as the host of this important event one that reflects our shared dedication to education and intellectual development.

The Government of the Maldives remains deeply committed to education reform and human capital development. We believe that building knowledge-based and value-driven society is central to our nation’s progress.

This gathering aligns closely with our national vision to nurture ethical, capable leaders and the promotion of education that unites faith, knowledge, and character. In this era of rapid change higher education must meet both the spiritual and technological needs of our people.

The Islamization and integration of knowledge are vital for reconnecting our Islamic intellectual heritage with the realities of the modern world. Education must not only transfer information / but also cultivate wisdom and responsibility.

By integrating knowledge, we ensure that modern disciplines, from science and technology to economics and social studies are guided by Islamic ethics and worldview.

I commend IIUM and IIIT (Triple IT) for their pioneering global efforts in noble mission.

The collaboration between IUM, IIUM and Triple IT exemplifies the spirit of unity and shared purpose among Muslim nations. The Maldives welcomes such partnerships that promote Islamic and humanitarian values and strengthen bridges between our organizations.

Looking ahead we envision a system of education that is rooted in Islamic principles yet globally competitive producing graduates who are knowledgeable, ethical, and socially responsible.

Insha’Allah the Maldives’ aspiration to become a regional hub for ethical education and leadership, will come to fruition contributing to the advancement of the Ummah through knowledge, faith, and integrity.

May Allah bless our efforts and guide us toward knowledge that serves humanity and honours our faith.

Shukuran.
