Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has emphasised that education must go beyond the mere transfer of information to also cultivate wisdom and responsibility. He made these remarks at the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Islamic Leadership and Integration of Knowledge, held at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).

He highlighted that the seminar aligns closely with the national vision to foster ethical and capable leaders, while promoting an educational approach that unites faith, knowledge, and character.

In conclusion, the Vice President underscored that the collaboration between IUM, the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) exemplifies the spirit of unity and shared purpose among Muslim nations. He added that the Maldives welcomes such partnerships, which promote Islamic and humanitarian values while strengthening ties between institutions.
