President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the ADh. Hangnaameedhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting was held at the Hangnaameedhoo Council Secretariat.

The Council members highlighted the most pressing needs of the island’s residents. They emphasised the necessity of upgrading the north harbour, developing roads with proper drainage systems, protecting the shoreline, resolving breakwater issues, and creating a designated area for boat docking. They also called for the improvement of the island’s health centre and laboratory facilities, as well as the expedited development of the football ground.

President Dr Muizzu assured that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who provided updates on ongoing development projects.
