First and foremost, let me express my heartfelt gratitude to Your Excellency, President Dr. Karis, for hosting us in such a historic setting. It is truly an honor to visit your beautiful country, and I am deeply touched by the warmth and hospitality extended to my delegation and me.

Coming from the Maldives, a land of perpetual sunshine and turquoise seas, the snow-covered landscape of Estonia is a mesmerizing sight—a stark reminder of the diverse beauty of our world. Yet, despite the contrast in climates, the kindness and generosity of the Estonian people have made us feel at home.

Tonight, we are not just sharing a meal; we are nurturing a bond of friendship that I believe will grow stronger with time.

This visit is a historic moment, marking the first visit of a Maldivian Head of State to Estonia. It symbolizes our shared commitment to bridge our two countries through understanding and collaboration.

President Dr. Karis, your visionary leadership and Estonia’s remarkable achievements in digital transformation and innovation inspire us. Your country stands as a beacon of how technology can empower societies, and we look forward to learning from Estonia’s expertise in this field.

As we stand at the threshold of a new chapter in Maldives-Estonia relations, I am filled with optimism about the opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we can forge a partnership rooted in mutual respect, shared values, and a common aspiration for a better, more sustainable future.
