Under the authority granted to the President by Article 116(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives, following the changes made to the Cabinet on December 26, 2024, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has established Dhivehi language names for the relevant ministries.
This was announced in Directive No. 26/2024 issued by the President's Office on Sunday.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance and Planning has been given the Dhivehi name "Maaleekankamaai Tharaggeege Reyvuntherikamaa Behey Vuzaaraa" and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has been given the Dhivehi name "Imaaraaiykurumaai, Gedhoruverikamaai Binaaraa Behey Vuzaaraa."
