President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the Presidential Youth Advisory Board. The event took place at the President's Office this afternoon.

The Presidential Youth Advisory Board's objective is to confer with President Dr Muizzu on the implementation of the Administration's manifesto and important policies, identify obstacles and challenges to youth development in various fields, and work towards solutions at the national and regional levels.

The key manifesto of the Government is the commitment to empower the youth to make decisions and take the lead in shaping the future of the country, addressing the concerns of young people, and fostering a strong generation of youth.

The 'Presidential Youth Advisors' Board was formed on January 18, 2024, with 15 members. To facilitate more significant youth participation, the Board will be appointed twice during a presidential term.

Since the Board is constituted to advise the President, the secretariat of the Board of 'Presidential Youth Advisors' will be managed by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts. After the inauguration of the Board, the first meeting was held at the President's Office today.

At the event, the President handed over badges to members of the Presidential Youth Advisory Board.
