President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of infrastructure development projects on Kendhikulhudhoo Island in the Noonu Atoll on Saturday. These projects include the development of a modern football ground and the new FENAKA Office and powerhouse. The completion of these projects was marked as part of his ongoing visit to some islands in the atoll.
The football ground, inaugurated by the President, has been layered with turf, fenced, and equipped with a lighting system. The government contracted AMIN Construction Pvt. Ltd. for its development. The new FENAKA Office can accommodate up to 30 staff members, while the powerhouse boasts a power generation capacity of 1,720 kilowatts.
The President also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new hospital on the island. The facility is designed to accommodate 30 beds and will provide advanced medical care to the local community.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant progress towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
