First Lady Fazna Ahmed highlighted on Tuesday the importance of investing in and supporting the social work sector and stressed that social workers play an essential role in changing the situation in a world where injustice is prevalent. She made the remarks in a video message screened at the event organised by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services to commemorate World Social Work Day.
In her message, First Lady Fazna stated that increased investments in the social work sector are a commitment made in pursuit of a just, peaceful, and thriving society. She further highlighted the hard work of social workers in creating an inclusive and just community.
The First Lady extended warm wishes and felicitations to all social workers on World Social Work Day. In her message, the First Lady also extended her appreciation to everyone for their steadfast efforts in the social services sector. At the event, plaques of appreciation were presented to social workers who had served in the field for over 15 years.
