The President’s Office has today, opened applications for the membership of the Elections Commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission and for the post of Prosecutor General. An announcement to that effect has been published in the government gazette. The opportunity to submit application will be open until the 10th of June.
Article 292 of the Constitution states that the Elections Commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Prosecutor General should be appointed within sixty days of the first sitting of the first People’s Majlis elected under the current Constitution.
The application forms will be available at the President’s Office reception as well as downloadable from the website of the President’s Office. The website address is www.presidencymaldives.gov.mv
