President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed travelled to Maafushi Island in the Kaafu Atoll on Monday to participate in Eid al-Fitr celebrations. They visited Maafushi Island at the invitation of the members of the Island Council and Women’s Development Committee.
In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady attended a special lunch hosted by the residents of the island. President Solih spent the late afternoon with the children at the "Maafahivathi" children’s festival held as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
