President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has forwarded his nomination for the vacant position of Prosecutor General to the People's Majlis for parliamentary approval. President Solih sent the name of Uz Hussain Shameem to the Parliament.
The President made the nomination for the position of Prosecutor General as per Article 10 (a) of the Prosecutor General’s Act, following the resignation of Uza Aishath Bisam from the post on 28th November 2019.
