President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has visited the Galolhu National Stadium in support of the Maldives’ side as they faced Guam in the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers. The game was played this evening.
Maldives took on Guam in the second leg of Round 1 of the Asian qualifiers of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023. The Maldives’s side won the game 3-1.
The national team earlier triumphed over Guam in the first leg of the game, with a score of 1-0. The national side lost to the Philippines in its previous encounter, with a score of 2-1.
