President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today met with Councillors of Bodufolhudhoo Island of North Ari Atoll and enquired about the needs and concerns of the people and ongoing and future development plans for the island. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, Bodufolhudhoo Councillors relayed details of several concerns and pressing issues faced by the residents. Some of the issues highlighted by the Councillors during the meeting included discussions of avenues for expediting the establishment of water and sanitation services in the island, progress of work on the land reclamation project, repair of the harbour quay wall as well as improvements to the health sector of the island.
The President took note of all their concerns, expressing that he would work with the relevant line ministries to find solutions to the discussed issues.
