President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon met with members of the Thulhaadhoo Island Council of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office this afternoon, members of the council briefed the President on the current status of the island, and the most urgent needs of the island’s residents.
In this regard, council members noted the need to reinforce the island’s transport system. They also emphasized the fact that a high number of the island’s population was migrating to other islands, and underscored that establishing better urban resources in the island could be the solution to the issue.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih highlighted his administration’s development agenda. The President assured that the administration will always consider the residents’ aspirations and needs in carrying out development projects in the islands.
