President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assured that all Government authorities are on alert and fully engaged in the relief efforts following damages caused by the heavy rain and flooding in Malé City today.
The President visited the disaster relief centre established at Kalaafaanu School by the National Disaster Management Centre, following today’s flooding of Male’. He inquired on the current status in Malé and the progress of relief efforts.
President Solih also conveyed his sympathies to all those affected by today’s flooding, and expressed his gratitude to all volunteers and parties involved in the recovery efforts.
