President Solih presents letter of appointment to members of the “Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery”

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has presented the letter of appointment to the members of the “Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery”, as per Presidential Decree 2018/16. The ceremony was held today at the President’s Office.

The Commission was established on Saturday, 17 November 2018, by Presidential Decree 2018/14.

Following are the members of the Commission:

1. Mr. Ahmed As’ad – as President of the Commission
2. Mr. Aas Abdulla
3. Uz. Nadeem Ibrahim
4. Ms. Aminath Hassan
5. Ms. Fathimath Sareera Ali Shareef

The purpose of establishing the Presidential Commission on Corruption and State Asset Recovery is to recuperate the lost asset of the State from 1^st January 2012 till 17^th November 2018 and to ensure that all responsible authorities carryout their legal duties in investigating the corruption and abuse of power within State institutions.
