President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Buruni Island of Kolhumadulu Atoll this morning, as part of his current visit to some islands of the Atoll.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
During his visit, President Yameen is scheduled to inaugurate the Sewerage System in Buruni Island.
President Yameen began his three-day visit to some islands of Kolhumadulu Atoll yesterday. On day-one, the President inaugurated clean water services in Thimarafushi Island. The President then took part in the ceremony to mark the completion of the beach protection project in Veymandoo Island. He also took part in the ceremony held to mark the completion of beach protection project in Kandoodhoo Island.
Today, President Yameen is scheduled to mark the completion of Vilufushi Island’s road development project, initiate the services of sewerage system in Madifushi Island and mark the completion of the land reclamation project and completion of the protection of the reclaimed land area in Madifushi Island.
Moreover, President Yameen is also scheduled to initiate the services of sewerage system Dhiyamigili Island.
