President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Madaveli Island this morning, as part of his current visit to some Islands of North and South Huvadhu Atolls.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
As part of his visit, the President is scheduled to take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of beach protection project and inaugurate the harbour in Madaveli Island.
During his current three-day visit, the President is scheduled take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of beach protection project and inaugurate the harbour in the islands of Faresmaathodaa and Gaddhoo Islands. Moreover, President Yameen will initiate the services of sewerage system and inaugurate the housing project in Gaddhoo Island.
President Yameen is scheduled to visit North Huvadhu Atoll islands tomorrow, and inaugurate the harbour in Kondey Island, initiate the services of sewerage system and inaugurate clean drinking water services in Kolamaafushi Island, mark the completion of road development project and inaugurate the housing project in Villingili Island. The President will also inaugurate the Fishermen’s Marina in Kooddoo Island.
