President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has reiterated that his administration always abides by the country’s laws and judicial limitations, as opposed to the previous administrations. He made this remark while speaking at a function organised by the Progressive Party of Maldives.
In his speech, the President stated that his administration consistently works with a precise goal in mind. In this regard, the President reaffirmed that one of the administration’s highest priorities was to resolve the challenges being faced by the people, and achieve their development aspirations.
Speaking at the function, President Yameen stressed that development did not only include acquisitive growth. He noted that another important priority of his administration was to align the Maldives along with other members of the international community, with the same honour, dignity, and respect, despite the Maldives’ small size.
