President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom attended the gala dinner hosted by Ministry of Tourism, to celebrate World Tourism Day 2016. The gala dinner was held at Kurumba Maldives Resort on Tuesday evening.
During the event the President was presented with a commemorative plaque honoring the Tourism Industry's efforts towards establishing a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) biosphere reserve by the end of 2017. The plaque was presented to the President by Minister of Tourism, Hon. Moosa Zameer, on behalf of the Ministry.
During this gala dinner, Minister of Tourism, Hon. Moosa Zameer and Secretary General of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry Mr. Ahmed Nazeer addressed the attendees.
The President was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers, government officials and contributors of the Tourism Industry of the Maldives.
