During his tour to the northern atolls, President Mohamed Nasheed today visited Naivaidhoo and Nellaidhoo of Haa Dhaalu atoll and met with the people of the two islands.
In both islands, the President briefed on government’s development projects in the islands. The President informed the people of Nellaidhoo that funds for a harbour development were included in the 2011 budget.
However, he said if the People’s Majlis were to alter budget allocations, the government could be forced to cut down some of the capital expenditures.
After the visit to Haa Dhaalu, the President has now travelled to Baa atoll before he concludes his current trip to northern atolls.
