President Mohamed Nasheed visited Veymandoo and met with the people of the island on the last leg of his trip to Thaa atoll on Wednesday. The President spoke on government’s policies for decentralization and delegating more powers to the people. He also briefed on the 2011 budget. The President said budget allocation will enable greater participation at local levels in implementing developmental projects.
The President returned to Male’ after concluding his Thaa tour last night.
