Mr. Hassan Saaid, the fastest runner in Maldives, has this morning during a meeting held at the President’s Office, presented President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom with the shoes he wore when he won the 100m race at the 2015 Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG).
During the meeting President Yameen congratulated Mr. Saaid for his outstanding performance and thanked him for making the nation proud. In addition, the President assured him the Administration’s support towards enhancing his skill.
Mr. Saaid won first place at the 100m preliminary round of the “Olympic Games Rio 2016” held this month and a gold medal at the 100m round of the “Indian Grand Prix Athletics” tournament held last July.
