His Excellency Abdulla Jihad said that the best way to stop drug abuse was by following Islamic Principles. He said this while addressing the function held to mark the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”.
The Vice President described the work being carried out against drug abuse as a battle in which society as a whole must contribute and work together. He highlighted that parents; by being vigilant for their children and by being aware of the character of those their children spend time with, where the first line of defense against drugs.
The CEO of the National Drug Agency; Mr. Hussain Shaheel, Chairperson of the Board of the National Drug Agency; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ahmed Shahid Mohamed, Members of the Cabinet, Members of the National Drug Council and Staff of the National Drug Agency attended the function.
