President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has officially opened the newly paved marble area of the Islamic Centre grounds. The ceremony was attended by members of the Cabinet and members of the Parliament.
Speaking at the ceremony held this evening, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu noted that it was an important milestone in the President's efforts to foster Islamic faith among the people. He also appealed to everyone to work together and support the Government in its endeavours for the advancement of the nation and Islamic religion.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad also spoke at the function.
