President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the N. Miladhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today, to discuss the island’s key developmental priorities. The meeting took place at Miladhoo Hidhaya School.
Council members highlighted that the council office is currently operating from a rented building and requested the expedited construction of a permanent council office. They also urged the timely completion of ongoing development projects. Further priorities highlighted included the need for additional trained nurses at the health centre, the provision of supplies for the children’s park, improvements to road infrastructure, the protection of eroding areas, the installation of coastal revetments, and solutions to address the island’s housing needs.
In response, President Dr Muizzu assured that the Government would thoroughly review the issues raised. He also provided updates on ongoing projects through accompanying Cabinet Ministers and heads of State-Owned Enterprises.
