President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of Magoodhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today, to discuss the island’s key developmental priorities. The meeting took place at Magoodhoo School.
At the meeting, council members highlighted several pressing concerns, including coastal erosion and space constraints at the island’s school. They also called for the expedited implementation of water and sewerage systems, as well as the work at the Health Centre. Additionally, they emphasised the need to establish a designated swimming area and a football ground for youth recreation.
In response, President Dr Muizzu assured that the concerns raised would be given due consideration. He also provided updates on ongoing projects through accompanying Cabinet Ministers and heads of State-Owned Enterprises.
