The Special Envoy of the President, Uza. Aishath Azima Shakoor met with the Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Policy, H.E Mr. Sartaj Aziz this morning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. The Minister thanked the Advisor for the assistance provided by the Government of Pakistan and explored areas of mutual cooperation in strengthening the warm and brotherly relations between Maldives and Pakistan.
During the meeting the Minister conveyed heartfelt sympathy and condolences on the recent suicide bombing in Lahore, to the members of the grieving families, the Government and people of Pakistan from the Government and people of Maldives. The Minister also reassured the firm stance of the Government of Maldives in combating and condemning terrorism in all its forms.
This meeting was also attended by the High Commissioner of Maldives in Islamabad, H.E Mr Ahmed Saleem.
