President Mohamed Nasheed has submitted to the People’s Majlis nominations for the Maldives Broadcasting Commission. The nominations include everyone who had submitted their applications to the President’s Office for the Commission’s membership, which include 33 men and 9 women. Nominations sent to the People’s Majlis were ordered according to the order in which the President’s Office received applications.
Article 6 (b) of Broadcasting Act states that the President’s Office shall open nominations for the Broadcasting Commission and propose all the nominations to the People’s Majlis.
