President appoints a Permanent Representative to the UN Office at Geneva

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed Dr. Hala Hameedh, H. Meenaaz, as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva. President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to Dr. Hala Hameedh, ‎at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Tuesday morning.

The President removed Dr. Hala Hameedh from her previous post as Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador at large to appoint the new post of Permanent Representative to the UN Office at Geneva.

The President was accompanied at the meeting by Foreign Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, and State Minister at the President’s Office, Uz. Mohamed Mujuthaaz.
