President Mohamed Nasheed has announced that the government intends to establish a junior high school in Holhudhoo of Noonu Atoll in 2012.
The President made the announcement, speaking at the annual prize giving ceremony of Holhudhoo Meynaa School, held at the School last evening.
Acknowledging the valuable contribution of Meynaa School to the island, and its educational achievements, the President declared the government’s intention to further develop the school.
The President and other dignitaries gave away the prizes and certificates to high achievers from the school. Ghalib Rasheed was awarded the best student in the secondary education category, and Ali Fayaz was awarded the best student in higher secondary education category.
