The High Commissioner of Australia designated to the Maldives, Robyn Mudie has paid her farewell call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting took place at the President's Office this morning.
During the meeting, the President and the High Commissioner highlighted areas to be addressed in order to enhance the good working relationship between the Maldives and Australia, especially in the area of education. In this regard, the President and the Australian High Commissioner spoke on increasing the number of scholarship opportunities provided to Maldivian students.
At the meeting, Australian High Commissioner Robyn Mudie said that it was a pleasure to serve the Maldives as the Australian High Commissioner, and reassured the President, of the Australian Government’s commitment to continue supporting and assisting the Maldives.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, Legal Affairs Secretary at the President’s Office, Uza. Aishath Bisham, and Under Secretary at the President’s Office, Mohamed Naseer.
