President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim have arrived this evening, on conclusion of their state visit to Pakistan.
During his visit, President Yameen met with the Pakistani President, His Excellecy Mamnoon Hussain and held one-to-one deliberations with Pakistani Prime Minister His Excellency Mohamed Nawaz Shareef. Official Bilateral Talks between senior delegations of two countries were also conducted, led by President Yameen and Prime Minister Sharif.
Four bilateral agreements were signed between the Government of Maldives and Government of Pakistan in the areas of sports, healthcare, education and combating narcotics drugs.
During his visit, President Yameen was accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes the Speaker of the People’s Majlis Honorable Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, Cabinet Ministers and Members of the People’s Majlis.
