President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has extended greetings to the people of the Maldives, on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Fitr.
In his message, the President has highlighted that Eid ul-Fitr was also an occasion to strengthen our familial relations and social ties, and help the poor and those in need.
The President has also expressed immense grief for the Palestinian people, and reiterated his condemnation of the inhumane acts of violence being carried out by Israel, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
President Yameen sent Eid greetings to the Leaders of Islamic countries and to the Heads of Islamic organisations. The President has also been receiving greetings from them.
