President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today met with His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan. At the meeting held at the Imperial Residence, discussions were held on the long existing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Japan.
The President noted that Japan has always provided its support and assistance to the Maldives, and expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of Japan for the high regard they have always accorded to the Maldives.
