President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today appointed six new Cabinet Ministers. The appointment ceremony was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
The Minsters took their oath of office before the Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Areef.
The appointed Ministers are:
1. Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed as the Minister of Islamic Affairs
2. Mr Umar Naseer as the Minister of Home Affairs
3. Dr Mohamed Shainee as the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture
4. Mr Mohamed Saeed as the Minister of Economic Development
5. Dr Mohamed Muizzu as the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure
6. Mr Thoriq Ibrahim as the Minister of Environment and Energy
