President Dr Mohamed Waheed has established the Small and Medium Enterprises Council, and appointed members to the council.

6. Representing women entrepreneurs Ms Juwairiya Wajdee
7. Representing the fisheries sector Mr Mohamed Waseem Ismail
8. Representing the agriculture sector Mr Solah Shihab
9. Representing the tourism sector Mr Ismail Faseeh
10. Representing the telecommunications sector Mr Rafeeuddin Naseem
11. Representing the environment sector Ms Lubna Moosa
12. Representing the construction sector Mr Abdulla Mohamed

The President of the Council is Minister of Economic Development, and the Vice President is Mr Solah Shihab.
