President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The President is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia Dr Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Al-Assaf.
At the meeting, the President expressed his hopes that this visit would further enhance the relations between Maldives and Saudi Arabia. He also briefed the Saudi Crown Prince on the current political situation and economic state of the Maldives.
The Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud noted the close relations between the governments and the people of the two countries, and assured the President of Saudi’s continued assistance. The Crown Prince also conveyed his thanks to the people, the government of the Maldives, and to President Waheed.
At the meeting, the President also expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Government, King Abdulla, Crown Prince Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia for their continuous cooperation and support to the Maldives.
