Ambassador of the United States accredited to the Maldives Michele J. Sison has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, President Waheed and Ambassador Sison discussed the current political status of the Maldives. The President briefed the Ambassador on the government efforts to establish peace and stability in the country.
President Waheed thanked the US government for the support and assistance to the Maldives.
Reiterating that USA is always a friend of the Maldives, Ambassador Sison assured of America’s continuous support and cooperation to the country.
