New Ambassador of Ukraine accredited to the Maldives, Oleksandr Shevehenko presented his letter of credence to President Dr Mohamed Waheed this morning.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Waheed congratulated Ambassador Shevehenko.
Meeting the new Ambassador afterwards, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations that exist between the two countries and ways to further strengthen ties.
The President and the Ambassador further explored opportunities for increasing cooperation between the Maldives and Ukraine in the areas of education and trade.
