President Dr Mohamed Waheed has met with the people of Shaviyani Goidhoo, as part of his visit to the island today.
Addressing the people of Goidhoo, the President remarked that the students’ performance in last year’s O’level examinations were not satisfactory, and urged the teachers to work harder, towards better results this year.
Continuing in this regard, President Waheed highlighted the exemplary cooperation of the people of Goidhoo towards the development of the island. He also appealed to the people, to extend the same cooperation for the improvement of O’level results in the future, and called upon parents and guardians to provide students additional support at home.
Highlighting the people’s developmental goals, the President assured that their goals would be met by working together in unity and cooperation. He requested the island council to be pro-active in conducting developmental endeavours in a systematic and sustainable manner.
