President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today visited the newly constructed building of Arabiyya School. He also met with the school board.

During the visit, President inquired on the progress of on-going work at the school and inspected the completed classrooms.

In his meeting with the board, President discussed the challenges faced and the measures that could be taken to overcome the challenges. The President asked for the cooperation from the board in starting the studies of lower grades in the new building, at the earliest. Classes for grade 7 and above commenced at the new building today.

Addressing the media during the visit, President expressed hope that the building would be fully completed and functional within the next two months. President further noted that, some difficulties maybe faced during the initial period and therefore urged the students, teachers and parents to overcome the challenges with patience.

Speaking further, President Waheed extended greetings and congratulated the students, parents and teachers on the commencement of the Academic New Year 2013.

After concluding his visit to Arabiyya, President Waheed also visited Aminiya School and Iskandhar School.

At Aminiya School, the President met with some students and teachers.

Addressing the students of Iskandhar School, President advised the student to successfully complete the educational life and urged the students to make the best use of this opportunity. He also expressed hope that the year 2013, would be a productive year.
