After consultation with the Cabinet, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today established Aviation Security Command, under the Ministry of Defence and National Security.
The Aviation Security Command was created to formulate aviation security policies and procedures in accordance with the aviation laws. The Aviation Security Command will also evaluate aviation security standard to ensure the aviation security falls within the standards set by it.
