President Dr Mohamed Waheed has transferred the Department of Immigration and Emigration under the mandate of the Ministry of Defence and National Security. It was previously under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Under the MNDF, it is expected that the administration and operation of the Department of Immigration and Emigration will be more efficient.
