Ambassador of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Her Excellency Ms Serpil Alpman has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this morning.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on enhancing the existing good relations between the Maldives and Turkey. The President and the Ambassador explored ways Turkey could further support the developmental efforts of the Maldives. They noted that starting of direct flights between the two countries was an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
