President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today laid the foundation for a new 4 storey building of 9 classrooms in Maduvvari of North Maalhosmadulu Atoll.
Speaking to the people of Maduvvari following the foundation laying ceremony, the President noted that the construction of the additional classrooms would be an achievement to the education system of the island. Underlining that the youth of the island were well-educated and hardworking, the President called upon the youth leaders of the island to put on a united front for the development of the island.
In his speech, President Waheed highlighted the many challenges being faced in the island, and spoke on the possible solutions to overcome the issues. Further speaking, the President stressed that he would never discriminate among the people, and would always treat all the islands equally.
